I did a (terrible) 10 man VoA pug and met a really bad mage with a really big ego.
I destroyed him on Elamon (damage meter pictured below), but had to stop dpsing for large periods of time during Archavon because the tanks were bad (they barely held aggro off me on Elamon and I didn't want to get one shot when Arc dropped aggro), putting him 2% behind me by the end of the 2 minute fight.

For the record, the time between the "yeah me too" and the "w/e im gonna log ttyl" was about 5 minutes.
The best part about it is that the GM of his guild said "He doesn't push 6k, he's not even close. He's not even top dps on Patch, let alone at all," and that he's a big douchebag.
Not that it's obvious that a baddie who pulls 3k on Elamon 10 couldn't pull 6.5k on Patch, but it makes everything funnier knowing that he's trying to lie on purpose to sound good.
